The material of diapers

Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) is an excellent material for manufacturing baby diapers, mainly made from starch and acrylic salts.

The prominent feature of diapers is their amazing water absorption and storage capacity. Its absorption of physiological saline is 40-60 times its own weight, and its absorption of pure water is 50-100 times its own weight. So the parents don’t have to worry about wetting their baby’s pants when the baby urinating, as the urine flowing out will be completely absorbed by it.

Modern diapers generally consist of three main parts: the surface layer, the absorbent core layer, and the bottom fabrics. The surface layer of the diaper is tightly attached to the baby’s body, which can promote rapid penetration of urine and effectively prevent back flow, keeping the surface of the diaper dry. The diapers in domestic market are basically made of non-woven fabrics surface layer. Breathable non-woven fabrics can improve the breathablility inside the diapers, and the water vapor can flow outside the diapers, timely expelling moisture and heat, effectively reducing the incidence of eczema, soft and comfortable without irritating the skin.

The absorption core layer is mainly capable of capturing and rapidly absorbing urine, dispersing urine, or diffusing it throughout the entire core layer through capillary action, ultimately absorbing and storing urine.

Many foreign diapers have already used a more comfortable non-woven fabrics for the bottom layer, but due to the high price, the bottom layer of diapers in the domestic market is still mainly composed of PE film.
