The French President Emmanuel Macron says Europe must strengthen its strategic autonomy.

French President Emmanuel Macron accepted two media interviews on his plane as he returned from his visit to China. Mr.Macron said Europe must strengthen its strategic autonomy and should reduce the dependence on the United States for arms and energy. And the impact of the "dollar privilege" should be reduced.

Strengthen strategic autonomy is essential to prevent European countries from becoming "vassals".  

Reduce the dependence on the US for arms and energy and must focus on developing European countries’ own defence industry.

Reduce the impact of the "dollar privilege", there is already has opposition in Europe to the "dollar privilege".
