Planera UK launches Fluus dispersible cellulose fiber sanitary napkins

Planera in the UK has developed a dispersible cellulose fiber sanitary napkins, which is now named Fluus (Fluus is a compound word for "flush us") and is made using a new technology developed and patented by Planera - Flushtec.

Fluus uses some unique biodegradable materials, such as CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose) and adhesives extracted from trees.

Although organizations such as the Responsible Flushing Alliance in the United States list sanitary napkins and tampons as products that should not be flushed into the toilet, the Fluus team is working to educate consumers about the unique and revolutionary Fluus brand's Flushtec technology. In order to give consumers confidence, Fluus sanitary napkins have passed the dispersible certification of the Water Research Center (WRC) in the United States, and the certification testing standards (WIS 04-02-06) ensure that this sanitary napkin will not clog the sewer system.

The processing of traditional menstrual products may be complex, but after the Fluus sanitary napkin is flushed into the toilet through the drainage system, the dispersed sanitary napkin will reach the water treatment center and decompose into cellulose fibers that are half the size of eyelashes. Furthermore, it safely passes through the sieve and ultimately produces biogas and fertilizer, forming a cyclic product lifecycle.

Fluus sanitary napkins can be completely dispersed without leaving any permanent waste. This sanitary napkin is also completely biodegradable, including packaging materials and release paper.
