Kimberley and Amcor collaborate to develop diapers using 30% recycled plastic

Kimberley and Amcor are collaborating in Peru to produce packaging for HUGGIE Eco Protect diapers using 30% recycled materials.

The new HUGGIE ecological protection diaper packaging was designed and produced by Amcor for Kimberley, with the common goal of contributing to the circular economy. The packaging bag is made of 30% recycled plastic film, which is processed and reused as a raw material.

A survey shows that 39% of Peruvians prefer sustainable packaging, highlighting the importance of circular economy. By reducing, reusing, and recycling materials, waste can be minimized to the greatest extent possible and the Earth can be protected. Amcor has collaborated with Kimberley to develop more sustainable packaging solutions using recycled plastic films. Compared to regular packaging, it can reduce energy consumption by 30%, carbon footprint by 23%, and water consumption by 23%.
