Berry has newly released AmiraTM multi-layer structural materials, with patented designs providing a new back film solution for products such as care pads, diapers and sanitary napkins.

 

Material characteristics:

 

1. Excellent air permeability performance

Compared with traditional bottom film materials, AmiraTM materials have excellent air permeability. AmiraTM material differs from the commonly used PE film material for sanitary products. Although PE film helps maintain the tensile strength and tear resistance of the product, it presents a disadvantage in terms of air permeability, while AmiraTM material has better air permeability. From the comparison results of experiments under the same conditions, it can be seen that air is difficult to pass through common breathable films, but it can blow up the ribbon inside the bottle through AmiraTM material.

 

2. High moisture permeability

According to Berry's MVTR test data, the moisture permeability of ordinary membranes is less than 1000, and the moisture permeability of AmiraTM material is twice that of ordinary membranes.In the experiment, water vapor can uniformly penetrate AmiraTM material, while in the ordinary membrane test, water vapor cannot penetrate and form bulges.

 

In addition, this material has the characteristic of "high barrier" and can withstand static water pressure up to 120mbar. This material balances strength and surface tension, providing a comfortable touch.

 

Berry's AmiraTM material has been commercially produced in care pads and adult incontinence products. At present, Berry's R&D team is exploring the application of this material in baby diapers and sanitary napkins, and it is also expected to achieve commercial production in the future.
